Our Non-Exec Board team have been assembled not only to assist the Iperium directors offer the best and most informed service to our clients and candidates but are also here to offer support and guidance to industry professionals across the main technology sectors we work within.

Malcolm Elliot – Head of Consulting, Nokia Siemens Networks

Malcolm has been working in commercial, marketing and management roles in the telecommunication & media industry for 12+ years. Malcolm joined Nokia in 2006, subsequently becoming Nokia Siemens Networks, advising European Telco operators (Fixed & mobile), service providers and media companies. Previously Malcolm has worked for Vodafone in Europe and Telecom New Zealand leading various commercial and marketing programmes. Malcolm has developed a number of core competencies including but not limited to; new service creation, customer experience management, investment planning, operational efficiency and process improvement within both fixed and wireless network technology sectors.

Malcolm delivers advice to the Directors of Iperium and our client base related to general telecommunications best practice.

Robert Reive - EMEA Director Enterprise Solutions, Cloakware, An Irdeto Company

Robert, HBA (University of Western Ontario 1983) is the Managing Director of Grunegg Research GmbH. He has worked for a number of start-up companies in both Sales & Business Development capacities, as Chariman and CTO, software architect, developer and QA and release manager. Robert has completed an Honours Business Administration four year degree from the Ivey Business School where he majored in Operations Research and Information Systems.

Over his 25 year career Robert has worked in middle and senior business and technical management positions for Bata Ltd., Custom Logic, Rockwell-Allen Bradley, Cisco Systems, FORE Systems, Platespin (Co-Founder, CTO), Surfkitchen, Montavista Software and is currently employed as the Director of EMEA, Enterprise Solutions at Cloakware, An Irdeto Company.

Robert is also a board director for Harvistor SA, an emerging green business building Micro Wind Power solutions, and a technical advisor for RareNative, a luxury consumer electronics design house through his association with Mobilurhzeit, a community of mobile entrepreneurs building advanced mobile software platforms for OEMs.

Robert holds two patents in order driven automated software provisioning to "on the metal" and virtual server environments and has a patent application pending for distributed micro wind power systems.

Robert will be working with Iperium across the Enterprise Solutions sectors and offering advice on both Green and CleanTech strategies.

Martin Smink - Co-founder, Nimbuzz

Martin has been working in the ICT industry since 1984 in various commercial roles with Digital Equipment Corporation, KPN, LogicaCMG PLC and Openwave Corp. with strong focus on mobile communications since the mid 90’s.

Early 2004, Martin co-founded Nimbuzz with EJ Lugt as CEO. Nimbuzz established itself as the largest global communications platform for seamless IP-based communication among mobile devices and social media platforms. In January 2009, Nimbuzz was awarded the prestigious Red Herring Global 100 award, as the first aggregated mobile instant messenger product ever. In July 2008, Nimbuzz was recognized by industry experts at AO Stanford Summit as part of the Global Top 250 technology companies for game-changing technology and market value, and won Best Mobile Startup in its category at Mobile 2.0 Europe. The company received funding by Mangrove Capital Partners (Skype), Naspers/MIH (Tencent, Mail.ru, Gadu-Gadu, Mweb, Sanook, Tradus) and Holtzbrinck Ventures (Kyte, StudiVZ).

Martin works with Iperium, advising on the trends and emerging technologies within the international mobile (2.0) communications sector in particular.
